NNIN Staff Member David Gottfried named ACS Fellow
The American Chemical Society (ACS) named Dr. David Gottfried of the Georgia Institute of Technology to the 2012 class of ACS Fellows, a prestigious honor bestowed upon 96 distinguished scientists. The ACS Fellows Program recognizes members of ACS for outstanding achievements in and contributions to Science, the Profession, and the Society. Dr. Gottfried is on the NNIN staff at Georgia Tech.
David was cited for:
- Contribution to the science/profession: More than 20 years of project management, research, student training, and public outreach, most recently at the Georgia Tech Institute for Electronics and Nanotechnology.
- Contribution to the ACS community: Sustained service to the Georgia Local Section and ACS in a variety of roles including SERMACS Associate Chair, Section Chair, Councilor, and member of the Committee on Public Relations and Communications.
