Faculty Recommendations for iWSG

 

You have been asked to write a recommendation for a student to the NNIN International Winter School for Graduate Students. (iWSG). This is a two week intense graduate level course conducted in an international setting. This years course will be held in conjunction with IISc-Bangalore and will cover  "Science and Technology of Nanofabrication" . This years offering will be Jan.3-15, 2011. Participants will travel to India where they will join selected participants from India.  The course will be taught by notable faculty  from both the US and India.  The first 6 days will cover the equivalent of an entire semester graduate course.  The last 5 days will be spend in a field experience in a rural part of India . The intention of this course is to provide an intense academic experience in an international environment, coupled with a developing world technology implementation experience to help examine the broader social context of nanotechnology.
