yellow dot pattern Technical Liaisons

Technical Liaisons are a subset of the NNIN staff, those with high academic level experience in a particular field or technology. These scientists are available to help you define your project and assist you in its execution. Their expertise is particularly important in cross disciplinary fields, or for new users to a field, as they can relate the knowledge of a specialized area (biology, for example)  to the broader view of nanotechnology.  Most of the Technical Liaisons are published scientists in their own right.  As part of NNIN, their relationship with users, however, would not be one of collaboration but as staff adviser and technology expert.  They would not typically be your first call to NNIN; normally you would begin by contacting the User Program contact at an NNIN site, but the Technical Liaisons would be brought in to assist with in later discussions.  But please do feel free to contact them directly if appropriate.
