NNIN Process Offerings

NNIN sites offer a broad range of advanced tools and processes to users.  A given tool may run mulitple processes.  A complete database of available tools is available elsewhere on this site.  This table gives the majority of processes available at NNIN Sites.   Each capability is rated, rather approximately, on a scale from zero to 4 as follows

  • 0 No significant capability
  • 1 Limited
  • 2 Good
  • 3 Excellent
    • Capabilities at the Excellent level exceed those available in most laboratories and should be more than adequate for most projects
  • 4 Outstanding
    • This rating is reserved for those truly exceptional, world class capabilities.

This table is in a constant state of evolution and is intended only as a guide to help you decide which site might be most suited to a given project.  Please contact the site directly for more information, as there are many details which can not be conveyed in a simple table.

All these processes are available hands-on to all users, with the instruction and/or assistance of NNIN staff.   Some processes can be done remotely, with execution by NNIN Staff under direction of the user. This is primarily limited to short, predictable process sequences.   Remote processing is not a way to subcontract production or to subcontract a major portion of a research project;  it  is offered as  a convinience for users. For more details on remote processing, please contact NNIN management or the individual site.
